You Need More Bathroom Storage After The Holidays

Ever notice how you seem to have more toiletries to store after the holidays? This is an experience my family and I have every after Christmas. With all the lovely smelling bars of soap, bath gels, shampoos, linen sprays and boxes upon boxes of bath towels, and hand towels given as gifts, finding additional space to store all of them can be quite a challenge.

I say challenge because you want to keep them in a place where you can still find them in a few months time when you want to use them. Too often when these gifts get stored in boxes or cartons they get lost in the closet and don’t get used. Or, we find them a year or so after and they’ve already expired – what a waste of perfectly good items. So this year, after seeing the huge Christmas stash we’ve received, I decided to have additional bathroom storage put in to accommodate them.

I chose to have a storage wall put up which also doubled as a partition between the toilet area and the sink. Instead of adding shelves to it, I opted for a sliding cabinet type which can be opened from both sides. The overall result was not only pretty but very functional as well. Now we know where all our new toiletries are and can reach them anytime!
